Rasandik, pioneer in Sheet Metal technologies and a brand name synonymous with Firsts & Best is a well known Tier 1-Supplier to OEM’s in India. Rasandik is in the process of installation of the very first Tailored Blanks Welding System, the very first 4k W Yag Laser Source within India. A “State-of-the-Art” TB-welder of the Type LPQ3000 has been installed near Delhi starting to produce first laser welded Tailored Blanks by second quarter of 2006. Since all major OEM’s in India already have and will further expand to apply Tailored Blanks in their cars, the business is expected to grow continuously. As of today, OEMs have been importing Tailored Blanks facing the risk of long lead time and logistics issues.
